Questions Regarding Prozac/Fluoxetine

I was recently diagnosed with Narcolepsy Type 1 after years of struggling with symptoms, the first prescription I received was Modafinil, this has been quite helpful in regard to EDS, and even just getting to sleep at night, in fact I feel great. However, the Cataplexy symptoms are worse, which I was warned could happen with Modafinil. Either way, the Cataplexy symptoms have never really bothered me as much as the other issues.

I was prescribed Fluoxetine, which is the U.K. name for what is called Prozac abroad. I have heard all sorts of negative things about this drug, I have a friend who suffers from an autoimmune disease causing constant pain who was also prescribed this drug, and they say that it made them want to off themselves, another who has Major Depressive Disorder said the same thing. I've also read it can cause aggression, sexual dysfunction, especially in men, as well as the usual migraines, nausea. The main concern is emotional blunting and suicidal thoughts. To me the symptoms of Cataplexy when isolated from the rest of the condition have to be far more manageable than those reported to occur in most taking Fluoxetine/Prozac.

I'm just wondering what people's experience are with this drug, especially from those also taking Modafinil but also those who aren't.
