Wake up babe, HD2 upscale just arrived
New warbond is absolutely fun as hell, but it also upscales HD2 by so much it's utterly insane.
First off, Armour, it just straight up confirms that HD2 armour is on par (if not superior to) Cadian Kasrkin armour. Meaning every armour in HD2 is automatically on par with a 40k Carapace armour. (Not exactly the best, but with all the HD2 armour downscaling and 40k armour wanking, this is a massive step up)
The true shitshow starts when you get to the Melta
The Melta mine does 2000 anti-tank damage per mine. Almost half that of a recoilless rifle and less than half of a Spear round. This confirms that Helldivers have straight-up as good (if not significantly stronger) weaponry as the Spacemarines. Whilst also being SIGNIFICANTLY more disposable (again, 20 million dead every single day to fight for Cyberstan).
This also upscales every HD2 enemy faction significantly. An HD2 hive lord can facetank 75 melta rounds before dying and a Vox engine 5. (Again, hive lords spawn once every mission in level 10 or above and Vox engines basically roam in hoards at higher difficulties)
And the best part? It's confirmed that all of this is manufactured and sold by SuperEarth Industries (It is mentioned that metals to make the armour are mined from a previous SuperEarth planet that once fell, a reference to Cadia). The only reason they don't produce more is that they don't need to. Not that they cannot arm every single Helldiver with it (as demonstrated by the anniversary events where every Helldiver DOES have access to every single warbond). Basically cementing that yes, the HD2 industrial sector is completely absurd even for videogame standards. And this is all with "only" 200 or so planets that keep swapping hands during a time where Super Earth is currently cornered. And they STILL have no trouble arming all of their Helldivers.
