as much as i hate trump, i still feel bad for him that he was borderline abused by his father.

by now, you've all probably caught onto the fact that i am not a fan of donald trump. however, i am still not a monster. and i do genuinely feel bad for trump that he was basically abused as a child.

fred trump, donald's father, was not a nice guy. he basically ran his family like a corporate business. many of donald's worst traits were instilled in him by his father. donald was basically a golden child while fred trump jr was a scapegoat. and that dynamic is bad for both parties. fred trump jr's mental state was harmed by this treatment, leading him to become an alcoholic and his death. this so traumatized donald that he does not drink to this day. and i'm not even gonna get into fred's ties to the KKK. yeah, not a great guy.

do i still hate trump? yes. however, i do genuinely feel bad for him. honestly, i also kinda mourn the person that trump could have been had he had better guidance. if donald had been treated with genuine love and had good virtues instilled in him, maybe he wouldn't be the monster he is today.
