The History of Ondzor: From Revolutionary Core to Theocratic Empire (1532–1623)

**Phase I: The Crimson Birth & Anarchy (1532–1534)**
In 1532, following the shattering collapse of the ancient long-gone *Empiren Juq*, the regional core known as **Nzor** (**N**ational **Z**or-**O**ral **R**epublic) launched a brutal war of independence against the remnant empire of **Yadara** (*Yurawa-boustaqurq*). For the first two years (1532–1534), Nzor had no central ruler. It was a period of absolute anarchy where the common people fought a desperate, decentralized guerrilla war for survival. The neighboring broken breakaway states secretly funneled supplies to Nzor, knowing that if the Zor-Oral front collapsed, Yadara would consume them next.

**Phase II: The Iron Foundations of Orald (1534–1541)**
In 1534, **Orald Metaritviyesk** seized the throne as the first official leader. He immediately faced the internal "Zobn Rebellion" (1533–1534)—a fanatical faction within the central enclave who opposed his radical centralizing reforms. Orald crushed the Zobn rebels by late 1534. He then established Nzor’s signature military doctrine: enforcing brutal, absolute discipline among the elite Zor troops while systematically weaponizing less-developed conquered populations as frontline vanguard units.

In 1540, facing starvation and intense pressure from Yadara, the southern nation of **Yeta** sought an alliance. Orald offered a diplomatic contract, sealing it by marrying his daughter to Yeta’s ruler. Once the contract was signed, Orald ruthlessly betrayed them, executing a soft annexation that absorbed Yeta directly into Nzor's territory. The Yetan population rioted, but the uprising was heavily suppressed. Terrified of Nzor’s growing military might, Yadara backed down from a direct confrontation. During this era, Orald officially shifted the state religion from ancient pagan cults to **Ontorstvo**.

**The Reunion of Buta & The Woe of Syns (1534–1543)**
In 1534, the arid region of **Buta** (*Biukonjarurnt ul buta*) launched a desperate uprising against its occupier, **Gousz** (*Bomgjiqurada of gousz*). Gousz had been ruthlessly extracting minerals and rare timber from the region while leaving the local population to starve during a severe famine and viral outbreak. Gousz refused to recognize Buta's independence, claiming it as an integral part of its own territory. Between 1534 and 1535, Nzor intervened: Orald offered the starving Butans a formal contract, promising emergency food supplies and housing construction in exchange for joining Nzor.

The ruler of Gousz, **Qurqap**, rejected the treaty and threatened total war, as Buta's resources were vital to his empire. In 1536, the conflict escalated into a full-scale war, resulting in the deaths of over 10,000 citizens. Initially, Qurqap held the upper hand, pushing Nzor forces back and occupying the southwestern territories. However, Orald executed a brilliant tactical feint: he secretly armed the local population with short-bladed weapons for a coordinated, sudden ambush behind enemy lines. By the time Qurqap discovered the ruse, it was too late. Nzor forces launched a massive synchronized assault, seizing Gousz’s northern territories in 1537, where Qurqap was captured and subsequently executed. The entire conflict, known as the *Woe of Syns*(after the people of Gousz), dragged on until the final occupation was completed in 1543, leading to the selective, non-mass enslavement of the surviving Syns population.

**Phase III: The Shattered Succession (1541–1553)**
Following Orald’s death in 1541, his **younger son** inherited a vast but unstable state. In 1543, he completed the total isolation of **Gousz** (*Bomgjiqurada of gousz*), reducing it to a tiny, surrounded enclave. However, the young ruler made a fatal strategic error by launching an unprovoked invasion into **South Suoid**. The battle-hardened Suoids utterly routed his army and seized a small piece of Nzor's southern land. Terrified of his own furious citizens, the prince fled east to seek asylum in Yadara—Nzor's bitterest historical enemy. The Yadaran authorities immediately captured and executed him.

The throne was claimed by **Or Zauchevs**, a wiser commander who attempted a calculated counter-offensive to reclaim the southern territories, but his campaign failed, and he was executed by his own officers.

In 1546, a fanatical religious extremist named **Orshiyt Rashikh** seized power (1546–1550). He instituted a reign of terror, officially replacing Ontorstvo with the absolute worship of **Dyaho** (represented by the sacred white circle). Under Orshiyt's rule, minor infractions on guard duty resulted in immediate execution. He decreed that all newborn children must be named starting with the letter "O" to honor the deity, officially re-branding the state as **Ndzor** (**N**ational **D**yaho-**Z**or **R**epublic). In 1549, his total mobilization successfully recaptured Northern Suoid, but at a horrific cost—over 6% of the entire population was slaughtered or purged. Following Orshiyt’s demise, Ndzor fell into a three-year vacuum of chaos and revolutions (1550–1553). A pretender named *Orald Kirog* claimed the throne for a few bloody months in 1553 before being assassinated.

**Phase IV: The Merchant King & The Great Shift (1553–1568)**
Fearing a complete collapse, the desperate ruling elites bypassed traditional candidates and selected **Dironz Apenorntagengiypiy**, a humble former farmer, as a malleable puppet. They educated him, but Dironz proved far more brilliant than his masters. He stopped the internal purges, stabilized the borders, and completely shifted the national strategy from aggressive conquest to cross-border commerce, single-handedly reviving the dying economy.

In 1561, Dironz looked westward, launching the massive **Niuot Expansion** into vast plains previously dismissed as worthless steppes. The expedition discovered thriving, resource-rich biomes inhabited by the indigenous **Niuots**. Rather than executing a costly military campaign, Nzor forces executed a calculated economic displacement—seizing vital watering holes, fertile land, and resource nodes. Starved and stripped of their lifelines, the indigenous Niuot population suffered a catastrophic demographic collapse, with **89% of their population dying out** within years.

While Nzor's armies were deep in the west, a opportunistic coalition of **Yadara, the Suoids, and Huil** struck Nzor’s vulnerable eastern borders. Dironz died in 1567 amidst the crisis. His successor, **Odarn Pistany**, halted the western expansion in 1568 to stabilize the country, establishing a permanent, trade-focused border with the newly discovered western state of **Histadrionaiuo**, though massive historical territories on the east were permanently lost.

**Phase V: The Era of Okolad & The Puppet Years (1569–1623)**
Seeking a furious vengeance for the lost eastern lands, **Okolad Vyzdorghiysky** took the throne in 1569. He launched a genocidal scorched-earth invasion against **Tura**, burning cities and enslaving the population, capturing 30% of their land by 1570. Concurrently, Nzor fought a brutal war against **Opura** (1573–1576). By 1575, Okolad forced the Opuran ruler, **Deador**, to sign a humiliating contract: Opura surrendered its border territories and agreed to pay astronomical financial tributes in exchange for nominal independence.

In 1575, Okolad officially reorganized the empire into **Ondzor** (adding **"Opublistic"** to the title, establishing *Opublistika* as the sole state ideology). The worship of Dyaho became absolute, and all alternative beliefs were violently outlawed. The national flag was changed to a centered sacred circle embraced by a massive crescent moon.

To hide his tyrannical ambitions from distant global powers, Okolad altered his foreign policy in 1589, initiating the **"Puppet Years"** (The Opening of Southern Orpogia, 1589–1623). Instead of direct, bloody annexations, Okolad systematically fractured defeated western nations into small, artificial states (such as **Gefrond, Poj, and Hourcia**). These entities maintained nominal independence to fool the world, but were forced to pay heavy tributes, surrender their resources, and grant Ondzor’s armies unconditional military transit rights.

In 1590, the flag was updated to its final imperial form—the sacred circle and crescent were separated and tilted diagonally, symbolizing Ondzor’s aggressive westward expansion and its complete dominance over the fractured puppet states of Southern Orpogia. Okolad’s massive 54-year reign concluded in 1623, leaving Ondzor as a highly sophisticated, resource-choked superpower right on the eve of the global "Continent Fall."
