[TOMT][Children’s Program] Woman standing in a toy room teaching the alphabet
I’m looking for a set of VHSs I watched in Kindergarten in 2007-2008.
Our teacher would give us a set of three alphabet VHSs that we had to watch within a day before returning and passing them on to another classmate to take home. I remember falling asleep watching the first one because each of them were a few hours long.
Each letter of the alphabet would be introduced by a woman with Edna Mode-style black bowl cut standing in the middle of a toy room where she would say the letter before sounding it out with a close-up of her face to show how her lips moved for each sound before she would say a handful of other words that started with that letter. Ex: “B. Beeee. Bat, Bug, Bus, Baseball.” (I know she said bat like baseball bat for B but I’m not sure about the other words.) I think she was also wearing a pink long-sleeved button-up shirt but I’m not entirely sure. The toy room had brown floors, a white wall in the background and toys scattered across the floor including a beach ball and I think a rocking horse. A lot of the toys were old tinker toys or plushies but there were no brand-name things.
It would then cut to the letter being displayed on a blackboard background with a male voice narrating while little animations of things that started with the letter played beside it.
The VHSs came in a pack of three with each one having the letter range on the cover. I remember watching the first which was A-G but the other two I don’t remember other than the last one ending in Z. One of the covers was green, one was purple, but I don’t know the color of the third one. I don’t think there were any pictures on the front cover, but the back had pictures of the woman.
I watched them in 2007 or 2008 but the video looked very late 90s-early 2000s, so I’m not sure when it came out.
I’ve tried looking online for children’s vhs alphabet tapes, but I can’t find any that look familiar or have the alphabet separated into three different tapes.
