Contract issue?

Just started a franchise with the Steelers and my whole team is on one year contracts? Thought it might be a visual glitch so I fast forwarded to week 3 to get to the contract negotiations and it's not a glitch my whole team is set to become free agents.. anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it?
