Can someone inform me about Hasan and Mao?

I recently made a post involving a meme about Hasan and the biggest thing that came up that I didn’t know how to respond to was his stance on Mao and that he said that “Mao it’s one of the greatest leaders the world has ever seen.”

I tried doing my own research, but everything seemed heavily biased and gave no context. Where did this clip originate from? Did he say this as a joke? Is it his definitive stance? Any and all information would be helpful.
