I built a CMP after setting up cookie banners for an agency. I got only 1 customer. What am I missing?

I was working with my friend's agency (for free) in my free time, setting up cookie consent banners for websites. A setup which includes the consent banner and GTM takes a month if it's an e commerce platform, and for small websites at least 2 weeks.

At first I didn't understand the concept of a CMP. Then after set it to multiple customers, I understood it well. The CMP setup is time consuming even for an experienced person. For direct customers it's hell.

I always wanted to build a product, and I thought I found the gaps in CMPs. Terrible UI & UX, time consuming process, pricy, and some more which I can't recall now. So I built one( oneprivacy.io )

From my point it's a good tool. Maybe I'm suffering from the "the crow thinks her own birds fairest" problem.

A week back I posted on LinkedIn, X, Reddit and sent cold emails (not an AI auto send one). The result is 1 customer.

So this is not a promo post. I want the opposite.

If you run a website,

How do you handle cookie consent today?

What would stop you from trying a tool like this? Price? Trust? "I will use AI to make a tool like this"? "I don't care until I get fined"?

What am I missing?
