Never had a girlfriend at 22 and struggling with height insecurities: How do I break out of this?

I am a 22 year old guy, 5ft tall and around 40kg, living in Sri Lanka. Complexion wise I am quite fair/white compared to most Sri Lankans. Physically I have a skinny build, but I look surprisingly athletic and strong compared to guys who are bigger than me. For instance, I recently arm wrestled a guy who was 5ft 6in with thicker and longer bones, and I still won. Female friends have given me compliments saying I look great, like a model or actor, and a few girls even told me I look like Taylor Lautner and Matt Damon. I do agree my facecut has a resemblance to them.

On the personality side, I used to be introverted, but I consider myself more of an ambivert now since I forced myself to get out of my comfort zone and adapt to different situations. I took the 16 personalities test and got INTP. I also self diagnosed with ADHD and maladaptive daydreaming, which honestly hurts me the most. I grew up in a toxic family environment with narcissistic parents, but now I live on my own and I am currently pursuing my IT degree.

Growing up, my aunts kept telling me during my teenage years that I was too short, which made me feel really insecure. When I was a child, almost every person who met my dad would point at me and ask why I was so tiny and cute. Because of all this, I end up feeling like I look like a child with some facial hair.

I have never been in a relationship before. I had plenty of crushes in the past, but back then I was way too anxious and nervous to ever ask them out. The anxiety has reduced a bit now, though I am still a huge overthinker, which I am actively trying to work on.

Right now I feel deeply lonely. My friends all have girlfriends now and barely have time to talk or hang out, so I feel like I am just existing. All the female friends I know are already taken. I know I am still young, but sometimes I feel like those prime years have passed me by. Whenever I walk out on the streets, every girl seems to be walking with a boyfriend. It feels like boys and girls get into couples during school years way more nowadays than it was like 6 years ago.

I really do not want to find people through social media platforms like Facebook or Instagram because I know how annoying guys can be to girls on those sites and I do not want to be that guy.

I actually tried asking a girl out recently for the very first time in my life. She was working at a bank and opened my savings account. I developed feelings for her, so I went back to the bank just to see her and ask for her number. She was really attractive, a bit taller than me, and had a boyfriend before. She told me she was not interested in a relationship yet.

I do not want to pretend to be someone I am not just to get attention or look better. I just want to be myself.

I want to get your honest thoughts and advice on a few things:

How do women actually view a guy with my build and appearance? Do girls really care about height as much as people say?

How and where can an ambivert guy like me meet women and find a girlfriend without resorting to social media DMs?

What are some practical ways I can work on self improvement given my overthinking and background?

Ultimately, how do I find someone who will truly understand me, value me, and like me for who I am?
