At what point did you know it was time to hire your first employee?
I’ve noticed a lot of business owners wait until they’re completely overwhelmed before bringing someone onto the team.
But then there’s the other side: hiring too early, taking on unnecessary overhead, and realizing you don’t actually have enough work to justify the role.
Curious how other founders approached this.
Did you hire based on revenue, workload, specific tasks you couldn’t keep up with, or just when you were tired of doing everything yourself?
What was the first role you hired for?
