wisdom tooth

hello, im 18 and have one grown wisdom tooth in the top set of my teeth but none on the bottom, this means every time i chew and bite my wisdom tooth up top is just straight up hitting gum on the bottom as there is not tooth there yet. i know much cant be done until my bottom tooth grows in but its really painful and is also scarring my inside cheek aswell if anyone has any tips it would be great appreciated

ps i went to the dentist last month for my annual check up and he said they are growing in fine and he can see them through the xray it just might take time
