Litter box advice

So I need some advice with the new litter box I got. It’s a sifting one for pine pellets. I’ve noticed that the holes as so big that the pellets fall through which causes a lot of waste. It said that this litter box was specifically designed for pine pellets so maybe I might be using it wrong or I have the wrong kind of pellets?
