P0303 Cylinder 3 misfire

I have a 2013 ford escape 1.6L it started misfiring so went ahead and swapped all the spark plugs and noticed there was oil on the threads and tips of a couple and one even looked a little bent. I put the new ones in and still misfire on cylinder 3. I cleared the codes and swapped coils on 3 and 4 but then still came out misfire on cylinder 3. My next go to is to check the valve cover gasket, but how likely is it the engine is trashed? Or are there any other suggestions of next steps forward?
