What differences are there between a gored skirt and a 3/4 circle or full circle skirt?

I’m planning on making a floor length skirt for a choir uniform and I’m trying to decide between making a circle skirt, 3/4 circle skirt, and a gored skirt.

I’ve tried to research but I can’t really predict how they will differ in hang and shape when finished — mostly between the 3/4 circle skirt and gored skirt which seem to be similar in geometry (if a gored skirt is just triangles combined till you get a circle, is there a difference between that and 3/4 or full circle skirt?

Mostly interested in how it will differ in its final shape and hang. And are difference fabrics preferable for each kind of skirt construction?
