ELI5: Solar eclipse blindness

I came across a video of a girl who said she got blind because of the solar eclipse. And i myself had watched a solar Eclipse today for 2 seconds every now and then. Maybe around 8 times. Is it enough for me to get a solar eclipse blindness? What makes the solar eclipse so dangerous that regular sun doesn't?
