Should I do my masters

I just graduated from ucla with a stats & ds degree, had a couple internships and working as a contractor rn part time as an applied ai engineer.

The full time market has not been easy and almost all the positions I’m interested in working in either need a masters or I’ll be competing against masters students.

Being SJ local I’ll get the in state tuition price.

The things I’m wondering about is if it’s even worth it to do my masters just cause I can’t find a job. It’ll put my ceiling a lot higher but take two years.

Also my gpa was only 3.2 even being a math major I didn’t really like math, but my thinking was I would never have to find the likelihood function of a Poisson distribution again after I graduate. Could I apply that same mindset for my masters and just grind thru it til I can get a job?
