Worst experience to date...

[HELP]

Monday, I was eager to do some maintenance on my bike. A few weekends ago, I rode up to my friend's place about 225km as my first road trip. It was a great time, although along the way, my bike started to struggle to get past 60km/h. Turns out the airbox and sub got disconnected, but I also learned that the carb boots were old. Also, along the way home, I fell off my bike getting off the highway, which messed up my choke valves, making my bike run louder than usual. Fortunately, my mechanic was able to adjust the left side when I passed by on my way back. With a set of crashbars and new carb boots, I figured putting it together myself would be no big deal.

I planned my day out: order of operation; tool list, supply list, additional miscellaneous materials; pulled up resources, reviewed instructions and videos. Very excited to start this endeavor!

But in the end it was a fucking awful experience 😭 12 hours of work and the rubber boots won't form a seal; things don't align and- how the hell did the valve cover fall out?? Two days later, and my boy is still in pieces 😩

Not so much a cry for help; just a need to vent
