Sizing and Type

I am a soon to be first time mom who has been gifted 70+ cloth diapers plus inserts lining etc. They were gifted to me by another mom who didn't end up using them and are basically all brand new. I love sustainability so im really excited but am a total newbie.

My question is, beyond just laying them all out and seeing biggest to smallest, how do I determine sizing? Also my understanding is there are different types that work differently, so can anyone point me too any resources or tutorials to understand how the different types and inserts work? Ive looked on YouTube and mostly only found people pushing certain brands, etc.

Also welcome any tips and tricks, advice on washing etc. Thank you
