Started a petition to keep feature films at the Seattle Center IMAX.

The CEO has said they don’t plan on continuing to operate it as a movie theater, and I think Seattle would be losing something genuinely special.

What made this IMAX so great wasn’t just seeing new releases on a massive screen. It was the older films and special rereleases. Some of my favorite moviegoing experiences have been seeing movies I love, or movies I never had the chance to see in theaters, presented in IMAX.

I genuinely think we just need to figure out CEO Ron Sevart’s favorite movie and get it rereleased in IMAX. Get the man in a seat, lights go down, IMAX kicks in... maybe we can change his mind.

Seattle has very few places left that make going to the movies feel like an actual event. I’d hate to lose one of the best.

Keep IMAX alive.
