Testing a micro app idea: voice notes that turn into usable creative direction
I’m working on Tapestry, a small iPhone app built around a simple micro-product bet: people often think through creative work out loud, but the recordings are hard to reuse. The app lets someone record a natural thinking session about a project, then gives them a transcript plus extracted pieces like constraints, connections, questions, techniques, and next steps. The target user is not “everyone who takes notes.” I’m aiming more at writers, artists, designers, makers, and people who start with messy verbal thinking before they can write something clean. What I’m trying to validate now is the framing. Does this sound like a narrow enough product? Would you position it around creative capture, voice notes, or getting unstuck before drafting? Is the App Store page clear enough about what happens after recording? Link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tapestry-creative-voice/id6799069097
