why do products like eyeliner and mascara look so awful on me? what am i doing wrong?

i feel like i never get the effect i’m looking for with these products. mascara makes almost no difference for me, my lashes are straight and short so it just kinda puts black rings around my eyes. whenever i “curl” my lashes they just fall straight again immediately. whenever i do successfully curl them, only the middle lashes actually point upwards so i end up looking like a creepy ass baby doll or something, like my outer corner lashes just droop and clump up together.

eyeliner isn’t even visible on me. if it does it’s always “blunt” looking. i never get the pretty snatched fox eye look from eyeliner, it always just makes my eyes look smaller and dirty. even if the liner comes out sharp asf it just smudges and blurs and becomes “blunt” within an hour. i don’t know if my eyes are just a weird shape or what, i’ve tried so many different products and techniques and nothing ever seems to look good on me :( i’ve tried brown liner/mascara, falsies, i’ve heated up my lash curler before using it, i’ve used cards and tape for sharp lines, none of it actually matters or works. what should i do?
