DBXV1 Update

New to this sub, I hope this belongs here. I recently got a used copy of Xenoverse and Xenoverse 2 for my Xbox One. I am trying to play the first game but there's a required update and it keeps haunting the update at 54 percent. I've tried resetting the Xbox with the power button and the power cable, and so far nothing has worked. I saw a post on the old xenoverse sub about this issue and somebody recommended leaving the Xbox off during the update. I tried that, and it still didn't work. Does anybody have a surefire solution?
