Readers: How long are you willing to wait between chapters?

I just started a very long story that I had previously pre-written (+13 chapters), and I settled on weekly updates for chapters that are around 5k to 10k words each.

It has been a long while since I posted anything (years). This is actually my first long story on AO3. I migrated over from ffnet.

What are your thoughts on weekly updates?

Do you think it's a good wait between each chapter, or too long?

How do you feel when an author does not have a schedule and posts irregularly?

How long are you willing to wait before the excitement wears off?
