Start of the year Prek: Tips?

I've been accepting for the last week that I will be returning to elementary school this year. I've been preparing a lot for that first week, how to adjust kids back into the classroom, and etc.

My problem is that I am also seeing 3K and PreK, and last year I started a little bit halfway into September. I wasn't there for the first week of PreK. They don't come to my room, I go to them, and I know that that first week of preschoolers is always really difficult. Lots of tears and missing their parents. Does anyone have advice for when I inevitably have to go to them? Little kids are my biggest weakness right now behaviorally and idk how I'd do art with them with the back to school tears.
