Our first cruise ever, mainly because my MIL loves to cruise and wanted to see Alaska. Sailed from Seattle on 8/1, MIL has interior cabin that has a significant leak under the bathroom sink, caught by a bucket. Musty, moldy smell in bathroom. Went to Guest Services and was told no other room available, and how could they make it right for her? WHAAAT? Don’t put someone in that room to begin with! She had to repeatedly empty the bucket because it was in danger of overflowing, then actually did overflow in the night. Two days it took to get an individual to acknowledge that it was an untenable situation and to move her, only because we took a video of the leak. Two days of our 7 day trip. Even the cabin steward knew about it, and informed my MIL that the piece to repair it had been ordered, but no idea when it would be delivered. They ended up offering a meal (no thank you) and delivered strawberries to the room. Never again, Princess. Who pays thousands to be put to working maintenance on your cabin? Side note - our cabin, also interior, had a giant ball of hair blocking the drain, so the pan would fill to scary close to overflow each shower. Unbeknownst to me, my daughter took it upon herself to clean it out so it worked correctly. So gross. Do better.
