My Macbook Air(13-inch M3, 2024) has suddenly gotten slow after playing game, do I have a virus?

So I recently have been play Pokemon BW on a emulator, and I was using Entralinked to access the dream world. But it only worked if I turned off my Firewall, (Stupid idea I know), and afterwards I would delete it then redownload when I needed it again.

Suddenly, it seemed that it was fixed, since I could access it even with my Firewall on, but now my laptop seems to be slower. Have I accidentally fucked up my mac and gave it a virus?

Hell, I can't even play Melonds anymore because I get the beachball cursor everytime I try to load in a ROM, and now everything is much slower.
