Moving house

I have finished customising the exterior and interior of my first house. I’m really happy with the interior and exterior and it took me like a solid few hours running between vendors getting all the furniture I wanted. I have now just realised my guild have a housing district and I would like to be in their neighbourhood, but will my house be reset? Is there a benefit to living by my guild, and is it worth even moving?
