Tailung case update
There has been a new update on the Tailung case, where he posted his statement on Facebook (you can find him as TailungDota) and also gave an interview to the streamer Papita, where he essentially clarified his suspension by LGD and PGL after being implicated in suspected match-fixing and gambling. He explained that he panicked and threw his phone during a security check when he received a suspicious message from an unknown number claiming to be his mother. After refusing to voluntarily withdraw from The International to defend his innocence and principles, he was removed from the team and sanctioned. He categorically denies any wrongdoing, apologizes to his teammates for his impulsive behavior, and demands that the organizations present concrete and verifiable evidence regarding the accusation. He expressed his full willingness to cooperate in a transparent investigation that includes a review of his finances.
There was also a final post from Astini where he presented all the alleged match-fixing schemes in which Tailung was supposedly involved.
Do you give Tailung the benefit of the doubt, or do you believe that Astini's posts are already conclusive and that it was right for PGL and LGD to give him a permanent ban without a conclusive legal investigation?
In my opinion, based on what I read in Tailung's post and interview, there are many things that could be very controversial and handled poorly by PGL, LGD, and their staff. However, I think his ban should be temporary, as was done in the ESIC investigations, and based on what was said, LGD shouldn't play in The International, just like what happened with PT in the EWC.
