Low key party ideas

We decided to get married next year but would rather die than have a big, traditional church/ hotel wedding. We have the registry office and venue for the afters booked but actually don’t have a clue what kind of party we want to throw other than good music, maybe a bbq if allowed on the grounds or the venue and hopefully people enjoying themselves.
