Tips for new MUT player?

First year actually playing MUT. I’ve always played MM and FPS. I’ve played Madden in the past but never UT, just H2H ranked. What are some beginner tips/advice vets have? I’ll probably spend a little throughout the year (probably most field passes and a little during big promos)
