my (72 YO) mom is saying shes had diarrhea for like a week Female

she is of general good health as far as I know.. she still maintains a job etc.

she had breast cancer 16 years ago, and her mom died of lymphoma last year.. and shes saying "this is what happened to her mom" texting me everyday that it hasn't stopped. im currently sick myself and im a single parent with two young kids and she lives almost 2 hours away plus if there is a chance its something contagious I honestly cant take the risk of getting it. would could it be? he went to the er 2-3 times, she said they didnt do anything and found nothing, and gave her a med or something to flush her stomach out.

idk if shes trying to worry me or something really be wrong. I told her to go back to the er but she refusing. she said my grandma had this everyday for 5 years until she died. idk waht to think at this point. I want to help but idk what I can do, ive been struggling with basic needs right now
