Dj controller breaks usb?

I have a Sandisk Ultra 3.0 usb stick that I use for music for my dj controller. I have used this stick multiple times on this and other controllers. But yesterday after plugging it into my controller and then my pc, it did not show up. If I plug it into a usb 3.0 port on my pc, it does not show up at all. If I plug it into a usb 2.0 port. It shows up for a few seconds and then disappears.

It also does only show up for a few seconds when using diskpart.

I thought this was just a broken usb, so I ordered the exact same one, but have now exactly the same problem after switching it from my dj controller to my pc.

I have always safely ejected the stick from my pc and my dj controller. The dj controller is an AlphaTheta xdj-az with a usb 2.0 port.

Could the hardware of the usb be broken because of the controller? Is there any way to recover the functionality of the usb? I do not care about the files that are on it.
