Bdsm and fiber arts?

I have recently gotten into hand spinning and gotten back into knitting. I’m also interested in learning tatting (the lace making kind) and as a kinkster all this got me thinking about rope. Knitting, crocheting and tatting are all basically about knots, and I was wondering if there are any other kinky fiber artists around and if anyone else has tried to mix the two (handspun rope? Turning a balaclava into a gimp mask?)
