This is going to be a long post…
The first picture is my hair about 3 months ago, had not been coloured or touched at all in over a year.
I brought a Jerome Russell bleaching kit purely because it was on offer. I only brought one without considering my hair length or anything. I did most of my roots on the top of my hair first and then started running out of bleach and that’s when I knew I fck’d up.
I left it on for 45 minutes and the result was horrendous. (See pictures below)
I found a hairdresser who could fit me in and said she could help I showed her pictures and the look I was going for. For context, hair is the one part of beauty that I know nothing about it’s just never interested me as much as skincare, makeup etc.
When I went for my appointment she was talking about foils highlights other stuff, I told her I don’t know anything about what you’re talking about but here’s what I was aiming for she seemed confident that she could sort it out so I let her do her thing.
This is my hair now. I didn’t complain as it is significantly better than what I had before but it’s not what I want. It’s too white/grey there’s still dark stripes I feel it adds like 5 years to my age. The hair on its own I do like but it doesn’t suit my face and I don’t feel like me and I just don’t like the way I look. My roots are still brown and I look as though I’m due getting my roots done.
I wish the undertone was more yellow than grey tbh.
I am just looking for any advice on what I can do? Can I get my hair how I want it, what would I even ask for at a salon? I’ve been trying to grow my hair for a year I’ve had a good amount of growth so I really don’t want to damage my hair, luckily it’s still healthy. I was hoping this hairdresser could get my hair similar to what I asked for and then I could just do the roots regularly but I feel like now I have to re do my whole hair again?
I just feel really deflated and upset but grateful at the same time because my DIY job was horrifying.
Anything would be helpful thank you for reading xx
