The contraceptive implant

I’ve been on the implant for about a year and now I feel unrecognisable.
at the beginning the implant was great yes my periods would be every one or two weeks but it was keeping me safe and that all that matters.
Over time I started getting mad and more depressed I wouldn’t clean my room I would rot until the night came and I didn’t think of anything maybe I was changing ? But the mood swings slowly controlled me and now I don’t even know who I am I overthink more then I did before I get annoyed or drained around people to the point I go silent everything bothers me now and I don’t want it to.
I’m getting the implant removed next month but I can’t go on feeling like this it’s ruining my relationship with my friends and stopping me from being clean of nicotine. I feel lost

Is this normal ?
