Is it worth applying

I've been hoping to apply to GKS-U for months now and have been preparing my application but I feel hopeless as I don't have many volunteering certificates, haven't been in any competitions and my grades are average. Idk how I can join competitions etc now with only a month left as non are open. Moreover it's so expensive to get the documents I need apostille etc and the whole reason I'm applying is because I can't afford uni in the first place. I just feel so hopeless
