Hi folks, I wanted to share a strategy game i made a few months ago. It started out as a personal passion project but I already found quite a few fellow election strategy nerds who joined in.

The game is called [**Election Game 2028**](https://electiongame2028.com/) and it is available online. I have only tested it on chrome, but current users have not reported any issues so far.

**Election Game 2028 offers both a primary and a general election mode.** In both modes you can pick a real character (in the general you can also choose the opponent). Each character comes with traits that influence a lot of metrics like interview performance, gaffe risk, election night strength and, most importantly, campaign efficiency. Candidates are only efficient in states that match their profile. This is all modeled based on my experience covering US elections.

**Some unique features:** This game works with realistic scenarios, real candidates, and actual percentage points (not a horse race game). The general election mode features an election night than is based on real poll closing times and offers a lot of room for tension and upsets. All candidate icons were handcrafted by a design student (Not AI).
Right now you can listen to open source music in the background. Once I have some more time, I'll compose a unique track.

**Is it free?** 4 candidates are free in the general election mode. In the primary, only Gavin Newsom is available to free users.

Feel free to ask me any questions you have. Hope you enjoy the game!
