How is the diagnosis of Asperger's syndrome being managed in your country?

Personally I live in Belgium and it is not covered by my mutelle or social security. So I will have to pay about 500 or €700 out of my pocket for this diagnosis...

Why is it so expensive?

Apparently there is also a long waiting list of several years just to be able to take the test...

I was surprised that in a "developed" and relatively "socialist" country, this kind of diagnosis is not a little better handled...
