A New Player! Things I’ve Noticed As A Chronic RPG-Consumer! (SMALL SPOILER AT THE END I MARKED IT)

So first of all hello! Gonna kick this off by saying I am IN LOVE with Fields of Mistria! It’s simple but effective and is very reminiscent of other RPGs I’ve played!

Rune Factory 4 (specifically 4) has a lot of the same elements as Fields of Mistria! Actually the way the buying section of the general store is set up almost identical to the Rune Factory 4 general store. The wackiness and the characters with depth…March actually reminds me a lot of Dylas from RF4! I actually think it’s way different from Stardew…I actually found Stardew to be kind of hollow with no mods. As someone who’s played many it lacked a compelling story—I think I also just prefer fantasy themes? In any case. If you like Fields of Mistria, Rune Factory 4 is definitely for you.

I think I read somewhere that the creators of Fields of Mistria were very inspired by Rune Factory.

Oh! And I saw people talking about the babies (SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER) and Rune Factory did something…similarish. Where the baby would be a boy or girl and looked like the player (who had a fixed appearance) but had their own events and dialogue. As well as their own sprite! So I believe Fields of Misteria is also going to aim for that! If not more in depth with the fixed genders and names!
