Buying a car for my wife

Hi there! I just moved to a very snowy, cold place and am looking to buy a car for my wife. I know I need something AWD and were interested in buying an SUV. Our price point is ~25K and my wife loves Subarus. We’ve been looking at getting a 2023 or newer Crostrek. But then I found out it has a CVT transmission. In my experience, these transmissions are very unreliable, but the Subaru agent informed me they are better now. Is this true? Should I get a Crostrek or go check out Hyundai? Hyundais dont have CVT and have a great promotion for 0% financing going on! I’d love to hear y’all’s opinion.
