A Difficult Decision: Should I Stay or Move?

I’m currently living in a PG and considering moving into a 3BHK with my best friend. I’ve never had the chance to live in such a beautiful area before the new flat has an amazing mountain view and greenery, and I genuinely feel excited about the possibility.

But I’m extremely conflicted.

My current PG isn’t terrible, and most issues are manageable. However, there are allegations that the owner’s husband was involved in a murder. I don’t know the complete truth, so I don’t want to make accusations, but it still makes me uncomfortable about indirectly financially supporting this household by continuing to stay here.

The new flat would cost me around ₹5,000 more every month. Initially, I was willing to sacrifice that money for my happiness and adjust my spending on food, cosmetics, and shopping.

But there’s another major issue: one of the rooms in the new flat is occupied by a male tenant. My best friend and I would have the other two rooms. My family is quite strict, and I honestly don’t know how they would react if they found out. I also don’t want to lie to them.

So I’m stuck between financial practicality, personal happiness, family expectations, and my own values.

Should I stay in my current PG, save the ₹5,000, and avoid the family issue? Or should I take the chance, move into the beautiful flat, and finally experience living somewhere I’ve always wanted to?

What would you do in my situation?
