Good God why can't the writers get it through their heads that adults should stay away from high schoolers?

The way Talia is coming on to Emily is so fucking creepy. Doing all that in the workplace too is insane. And what is she supposed to do? Tell Ezra "hey my older coworker is making me uncomfortable." He'd just be like "seems perfectly normal to me." And what's worse, is none of it is portrayed as negative. The only time it is is when the adult is already engaged to someone else. This is crazy man. I was in high school when this came out. I know I definitely talked to guys who were older than me but the second my parents found out, they shut that shit down so fast.
