I’ve always been under the impression that political moderates might place a higher premium on traditional personal grooming compared to those on the political fringes, on both the right and the left. For instance, rural, working-class MAGA Republicans are often contrasted with affluent, urban establishment Republicans who have a very polished look. Similarly, grassroots socialist activists often adopt a more counter-cultural style compared to wealthy establishment Democrats. Does this difference in lifestyle and aesthetic norms translate into actual differences in personal grooming in most cases?
