Footballer jailed for driving offences...

News

A semi pro footballer has been jailed for 4 years and banned from driving for 4 years and 7 months today for 10 instances of dangerous driving and 4 counts of perverting the course of justice.

What are your thoughts on this?

Do you think that this is happening much more widely, and the police are not finding out? Do you think the sentence is right, given the over crowding in prisons and the fact there is an early release scheme in place that controversially may let out of jail two lads who have been found guilty of manslaughter of a police officer?

What more can policing and others do to prevent such instances of dangerous driving and abuse of the system in future?
