AITA for getting mad at my partner for being sick during our first long distance visit

I am writing this here because I am unsure if my feeling about this are valid and I wanted an outside opinion. I am fully willing to be the asshole.

Me and my partner are cross country long distance and have been dating for over 10 months. I recently had got enough money and a chance to go down and visit them for the first time. (I am currently paying for my own college so it took a while, I apologize)

The first day I landed, I spent it meeting their parents and getting settled at our hotel before spending a few hours at the stores nearby where we got food. The next morning (day 2), my partner was puking and we assumed that they got food poisoning. Their mother came with medicine and electrolytes and we chose to spend the day inside. The next day (day 3) they were feeling nauseous, so we chose to stay inside again and take it slow. It wasn't until their mother called and offered to do something with me instead that my partner offered to take a small trip to a store nearby. On day 4 when we woke up, they said they were still feeling nauseous and that we should wait until the afternoon to see if they felt better.

I understand that my reaction was not correct, but I told them I couldn't stay in a hotel for another day after spending so much money and effort getting down to see them. Afterwards they told me how they wish I had communicated it sooner and that they thought I was fine just staying in the hotel which I was fine initially. But by the third day of being in the room, I began to panic.

I don't know if it is due to how I was raised, but if my own partner spent so much effort to get down to see me, I would have to be strapped to the bed to make me rest. I would feel so incredibly guilty getting sick and force myself to be better. I suppose I expected more effort.

I am willing to be the asshole in this scenario and I understand if my own frustration is blinding me. I just want an outside opinion.
