1st Friendly Match on Mainstream/Terrestrial/Free TV? (UK)

What was the first friendly football match played on "free" TV? (in the UK)

I'm watching Manchester United vs Leeds, and can't recall any other teams playing a friendly match on any channel like the BBC, ITV, CH4 etc.

Is this the first in history?
