Best Recovery Path Post-Childcare

Hey everyone,

Like many on here we've just been slammed the last year with exorbitant childcare expenses ($2k per kid x2 = $4k a month). Don't need to harp on that too much, it was still better math for us to maintain both of our jobs in our local market, but wanted to explain how we got to the situation we're at today.

Luckily, we now have our oldest enrolled in a free Pre-K option and our childcare cost is cutting in half beginning next month. We survived the most expensive couple of years for us, but it did cut into our savings drastically limping across the finish line this month. On top of the A/C AND furnace cutting out, Water Heater, and unexpected vet bills all in this same year, we had to take on a bit of credit card debt - which we did knowing there was light at the end of the childcare tunnel.

We pushed like ~50% of that debt into a 0% APR credit option on my already existing Marriot Bonvoy card we only previously used for travel (which we rarely do nowadays) and have until June of next year to pay it off, which we should be able to.

What I'm now concerned with, however, is we've gotten so cash poor with childcare and these other unforeseen expenses, that I am SUPER stressed about our basically entire lack of an emergency fund. I think our jobs are secure for the foreseeable future, and with time & patience we can climb out of the debt, but nothing is a certain, especially more immediate emergencies.

We got in the mail another offer for 0% APR for 21 months - and now I'm wondering if it makes sense to push the other 50% of our CC debt and use our income + new childcare savings for the next 2-3 months to replenish the emergency fund more aggressively, and then chip away at the debt conservatively over the course of the next 10-21 months. Thoughts?
