Is this a bad time to get into Yugioh?

For the record, I don't mind a complex game or a grindy experience

My main thing is longevity, I don't want to sink that time into a game that is seemingly dying or on the way out cause it can't retain stable playerbases. For example I know no matter how busted MTG gets with expensive sets, that game will always have a scene and staying power.

Does yugioh have that ?

I loved the manga, it was the first card game I ever really gave a damn about, I have so much nostalgia for this damn franchise but any time I hear any news about it , it seems negative.
