Hope it’s okay that I post here. I’m Bi but have a preference for women! 🫶🏼

I live in a small town and have only ever lived in small towns and haven’t found a queer community or queer friends yet, experimented with pronouns or even done any sapphic dating yet. I feel like I’m behind on queer culture and I want to be informed and up to date on all the tings for when I do find my queer people/ safe community. I have watched heartstopper and love it!!! And currently am watching the L word - also great. I guess I’m also looking for a virtual queer community to vicariously live through and maybe there actually are some online queer meet ups etc. I need queer friends! 🙏🏼💓 I think I also feel a bit intimidated by some queers when I meet them as I feel like I might say the wrong thing or aren’t up to date enough culturally. Not because I had any experiences when that was the case, I just haven’t had any experiences yet at all. I feel so behind the rest of the world - I’ve never even been to a pride parade!!

Also, how do I make queer friends and find my community?

Also curious how do other Non binary people describe the feeling of being non binary? And how do you explain it to people who are not queer. Like family and friends and anyone else who asks.

For me it feels like I’m quite androgynous, I like to dress androgynous, I feel like have a masculine side that I want to physically embody and also a feminine side that I like to lean into at times too. But I don’t like to be really and solely masculine or Feminine, rather somewhere in the middle of the spectrum and leaning into one way and then the other whenever I feel like it or both at the same time. (You’re never solely, but you know what I mean) I also felt imposter syndrome when I was in Woman’s circles etc, or when being called a Woman. It just doesn’t feel right and nearly makes me feel like I’m dissociating from my self. Just a strange, uncomfortable feeling. And It doesn’t feel right to just be a Man either. I don’t want to be locked into either. Just flow in between the more traditionally masculine and feminine feelings, and expressions.

Thankkk you!
