Porch Post Replacement

I am replacing an old metal post that supports a porch roof. I am putting in a 4×4 nominal wooden metal post to replace the metal post. My issue is, the beam that I will be connecting to has trim around it making it 4 & 1/2 inches long.

Does anyone have a connector they would recommend for this particular situation that would be up to code?
